The Math Lab

The Parsons Math Assistance Center (Math Lab) is open 68 hours per week providing assistance in all levels of mathematics to UNC Asheville students.

The Math Lab is always looking for vibrant, knowledgeable tutors who enjoy sharing the beauty of mathematics and statistics. Students interested in tutoring for the Math Lab should contact Rudy Beharrysingh, Director of the Math Lab, at rebharry@unca.edu.

Tutors should have knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, differentiation, and integration (Calculus I, II, and III). Knowledge of statistics is also preferred.

Tenure-Track Positions

The UNC Asheville faculty is committed to disciplinary teaching through an inter- and multi-disciplinary lens and providing a premier liberal arts education. Faculty members also teach across the University’s Liberal Arts Core program, our required interdisciplinary liberal arts curriculum. Courses in that program include: freshman colloquia; diversity intensives; Scientific Perspectives, the Social Sciences, the Arts; the humanities; and a Senior Capstone experience.
