MAA

The Math Department is a firm supporter of the Mathematics Association of America and its mission of supporting undergraduate mathematics education. Both faculty and students regularly attend and present at the annual regional conference as well as the national conference.

Math Club

We have an active math club that assists with AIM functions and Science Olympiad, works with UNC Asheville's Super Saturday youth program, and just has fun together! For more information on the UNC Asheville math club, contact the advisor Jimin Lee at jlee@unca.edu.

AWM

The Math Department has a new Student Chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM), which was founded to support, encourage, and promote women and girls in the mathematical sciences. It is "for" women and not "of" women, so men are welcome as well!  For more information contact Sheryl Donaldson at sdonalds@unca.edu
